Collections

The Birds of a Feather Ordinals collection is a distinctive and art-centric project consisting of 500 unique Bitcoin inscriptions, launched in October 2023 by The Pandemonium with artwork by theartist.btc. This limited set features monochrome parrots adorned with vintage pop culture references and a bold street-style aesthetic. The collection stands out for its intentional design for artists and collectors, avoiding speculative hype by delivering tangible experience for holds—each inscription unlocks an OrdiGallery, an immersive Bitcoin art gallery that was already operational before the collection's release. The artwork blends subtle nods to cultural icons like Steamboat Willie and Kurt Cobain with crypto-specific references, such as the famous Bitcoin pizza transaction, showcasing a mix of vintage inspiration and street culture.

The OP_BIRD collection, consists of 9 unique derivative recursive editions inspired by the OG Birds of a Feather by TheArtistBTC, which were exclusively claimable by BOAF holders. Each edition showcases the distinct style of its respective artist: ashishmode's futuristic CyberBird, msergisonmain of borginalprime's tech-infused Pandeborginal, NonnishRonin's mystical Birdstone, Waxbones' chaotic Lord of Bedlam, Megapont's pixel MegaBOAF, DankDadsDrip's eerie KillerBOAF, OGfromHell666's fierce SavageBOAF, TylerFoust's intricate FeatherFoust, and boozybtc's vibrant Boozy of a Feather. Notably, each OP_BIRD was minted in different supplies, ensuring that only a select number of collectors will ever be able to hold all 9 in their collections. The name OP_BIRD was chosen in playful tandem with the OP_CAT push by Bitcoin legends Taproot Wizards, who are working to expand Bitcoin's functionality.

The Parrots Reincarnate collection by The Pandemonium, is a set of 392 collectible Parrots inscribed on the Bitcoin blockchain, serving as a tribute to the project's origins on the Stacks blockchain. This collection is divided into four unique subsets, each with its own story and creation process. The first subset includes 64x Pixel Parrots (#9991 - #127516), which were reincarnated as Phoenix Parrots after being burnt on Stacks. These were inscribed onto Bitcoin at no additional cost by the community, showcasing their fiery rebirth on a new blockchain. The second subset consists of 32x Ghost “Cursed” Parrots, which originated from unused 3D samples that never made it into the main 3D Stacks collection (which have been burnt too). These were inscribed using the OP_66 method and then reinscribed using the same sats to maintain their "cursed" status, ensuring they remain indexed and cursed forever on Bitcoin. They were distributed through a raffle airdrop to holders of the Birds of a Feather collection; however, one was accidentally spent to miners, adding a layer of intrigue for sat hunters. The third subset comprises 218x 3D2D Parrots, which were reimagined from the burnt Pixel Parrots from Stacks into 3D models on Bitcoin. All five color bases were crafted and inscribed, and Birds of a Feather holders had the opportunity to mint these for free. These 3D2D Parrots are uniquely displayed in the 3D Garden of a holder's OrdiGallery, adding a visual and interactive element to the collection. The fourth and final instalment, The Voxel Parrots Reincarnate, also referred to as the 3D3D Parrots, resurrecting burnt Stacks Parrots onto the Bitcoin blockchain. Crafted by the talented artist NickoleNFT, these parrots transform the original 3D designs into voxel-based 3D models with a blocky aesthetic. For holders, these parrots are permanently showcased in the 3D Garden of a holder's OrdiGallery, a virtual space tied to Bitcoin inscriptions, offering a digital home and way to immerse oneself in 3D art too.

The "Birds of a Generative" collection, foreshadowing our evolution in generative art on BTC.
In this collection, Andrea Belloni and TheArtistBTC collaborated to merge traditional artistry with algorithmic creativity and explore what is possible at this artistic intersection. TheArtistBTC crafted five original pieces, which Andrea's code then transformed using inscription IDs as seeds for a pseudo-random number generator, ensuring each piece's uniqueness while maintaining reproducibility. The process involved fetching the originals through recursion and passing them to a shader, which applies effects like extrusion, thickness, colors, and noise or scanlines, all chosen randomly to create stunning variations. Adding to the experience, each piece is interactive: double-clicking toggles between automatic movement and user-controlled interaction, with options to rotate using the left mouse button and zoom with the wheel, revealing the original artwork behind the 3D rendering—an impressive use of shader technology that invites collectors to engage deeply with the art. This was an airdrop to all Birds of a Feather holders.

The OrdiGallery Collection.
An innovative gen art project that serves as a tribute to the diverse world of art on the btc. Thematically "a window into art on Bitcoin," this homage to ordinals is a 1/1/3500 collection featuring unique inscriptions that reference and tell a story of 3,500 existing inscriptions. Each OrdiGallery inscription tells a story, and takes the viewer on a journey through ordinals to the point in time it went onchain. Each OrdiGallery inscription also unlocks an OrdiGallery. A big thanks to theartist.btc and his Procrastinate Pixels team for their mammoth contribution in dev of the collection, and Gamma engineer @jnapp for his tech expertise too.

At The Pandemonium, we are an art-forward Ordinals project on Bitcoin that has consistently placed creative expression and celebrating art and artists at its core. We began with our PFP-style art as a way to establish identity and community, but it was clear to us from the outset that this was the beginning of a broader artistic journey. With a strong visual foundation and an ethos centered on experimentation and self-expression, The launch of the OrdiGallery Collection is a natural and ambitious next step—an expansion into, high-concept generative art that reflects our commitment to building for creators and collectors on BTC.
